VALENTINE'S DAY 2025 DECORATIONS AROUND OUR HOME

As I mentioned in my last post, using red, white, and pink for Valentine's Day is right up my decorating alley! This year I kept the Valentine's decor on the simple side and focused on just a few spots in our living areas.  I'll start in our Entry which is always one of my favorite spots to sprinkle in some holiday or seasonal fun.  I had a few packs of paper heart doilies from the dollar store and just lined them up in a pattern on the mirror! (Looped masking tape on the back does the trick.)

Other than that, I gathered a couple of busts and you know I always have to embellish them a bit... and I can't resist throwing some disco balls in the mix too.  I ordered these tulips the other day when I didn't want to run to Trader Joe's for fresh... they were on my porch when I woke up the next morning and are SO realistic at about the same cost of a real bouquet! I separated the petals on a few of them for an even more life-like look.  Highly recommend! As much as I love tulips, they just don't last long enough for more than the occasional fresh bouquet to be worth it for me. Now I can move these around to different spots for months to come.  (And I'll definitely be using this clever trick from Kari Anne if I move them to a larger vase!)

I found the cute pink scallop edge hearts hanging on the french doors at Hobby Lobby, they came in a few colors and are darling as is or would be cute to add decoration to.

The mantel is my other go-to decor spot for holidays. I probably should have removed the green gingham fabric and just used the white shades here for now, but I didn't want to make the effort to take it off and then put it back on after 💖 Day. (#lazy😆 but after Christmas clean up, I need a lazy holiday- ha!)

Most of this I've used before- the XOXO sign and the heart garland are DIY projects, and here's an orchid trick I like to use!

This little antique chest is the last spot in the living room that got a bit of love.  Do you spy the cute wicker pagoda lantern?  It's from Dillards and was part of their Southern Living Collection for Christmas, so it was clearanced out afterwards.  I got two!  They also had the wicker bow ornaments (they had silver & blue greenery on top that's not my style so I removed) that I loved!  I got a bunch of those because I have some ideas of how to use them in the future (not as ornaments). But for now, I haven't decided what to put in the lanterns yet so I thought the bows looked cute on the front.

I added some small honeycomb hearts to the artwork- just used some index cards and hot glue on the back so that they would stay half way open.  Then I just used painter's tape on the back and stuck them right to the canvas.

Little felt love notes (from Hobby Lobby) on a marble heart, DIY heart canvas, Polish Pottery vase I brought back from a trip, and fun pup bud vases bought at a cute little shop in Rogers, Arkansas.

P.S.- I painted the canvas myself, but here are some similar style prints available! Use arrows to scroll left and right, click on photo for more info.

I will probably set a Valentine's table next week, but for now the dining room just has a simple centerpiece.  I tied the medium size gold heart from this set to my white ginger jar, and dollar store glitter hearts are scattered around the base.

Last week I shared my Valentine's Day front porch, find that here if you missed it.

That's it for Valentine's Day decor this year... sweet and simple!
