Today's tour almost didn't happen and I apologize for the lateness of the post. I intended to be sharing this with you last week but has some technical difficulties! I told you that I worked to get all of my photos taken before we left on a short little Christmas trip. I intended finish up my editing and post on the trip... and then I broke my computer screen. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ All of the photos were in my computer- I just couldn't see them to do anything and we were away from home so couldn't really fix anything. Anyway- I'll spare you the longer details but it's been a challenge to get everything together and posted. I know I'm not including all of the photos I wanted to share, but you'll get the gist and I hope you enjoy what I was able to cobble together! 😆
I usually have one feature element planned for the tree (see them here- disco balls, giant stars, honeycomb balls, tissue paper flowers, pink lanterns), but this year I really didn't- I just started decorating and waited to see how it turned out. I got some new fantastic light pink ribbon this year that I knew I wanted to use, and I'm pleased with how it turned out in a mix of pink and red bows.
Do you remember the viral nutcrackers I traveled the state of Oklahoma to get last year? They were red and I intended to have them painted this year. The primer was as far as I got, so I sprayed a quick coat of glossy white over that and called them good for this year. More colorful paint will be a good project this summer!
I put all of our nativities and kids' Sunday School crafts on these shelves this year, so many sweet memories in those pieces!
As as I mentioned, I know we're all busy today so that's about all the talking I'll do. I'll just let you scroll and enjoy! Later this week I'll edit this post and add some details and more sources for you.
Thank you for touring today, I hope my colorful Christmas decorations brought a smile to your face this season! I'll have one more family Merry Christmas post, but if I miss you there I hope your and yours have the Merriest Christmas! Thank you for being a part of our lives by faithfully reading and for your kind support! Our love to you all this Christmas! 💚
Never miss a post!

Merry Christmas to you and your family! Your home and decorations are spectacular!!!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I would love to learn how to make bows like you do. Any chance you might do a video for those who can’t make bows? Merry Christmas to you and your lovely family. Looking forward to more posts in 2025.
ReplyDeleteJust when I think you've got everything perfect, you surprise me again. So creative and such an inspiration! Happy holidays to your family 🎄
ReplyDeleteAnd I’m a little late telling you that about day or two after you mentioned and showed your outdoor candy canes, I saw some large outdoor candy canes at Dollar Tree. You might try there in case you want to store them for next year. Your living room is so cheerful as it should be for a special birthday!
ReplyDeleteI bought those candy canes and they break easily. I would spend more to invest in something that will last more than one Christmas. Merry, merry.
DeleteJust drop dead gorgeous! My favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love the decor. Absolutely perfect!
ReplyDeleteA few months ago you shared some recipes. I made your cream cheese bean dip yesterday and it was very tasty. I’ll watch for more recipe shares in the future. Merry Christmas and may blessings abound in our new year.
I am always curious about where your family tv is located. Would you share pictures of that area?
ReplyDeleteI love your magic touch. Very whimsical! Catching my eye mostly is the nostalgic tree toppers, choir boys, jars of candy and light bulbs, handmade nativity by your kids. Look a bit like Legos w old checker fabric very small but powerful. Lamps and the giant nutcracker! My collection is up to 43. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteJennifer, your talent is amazing. Each year you outdo previous year. This year is my fav. I love your color choices, how your decor flows and the creativeness is perfection. Merry Christmas 🩷
