Hello friends! I've been a busy little bee over here decorating for days... and I'm still working on it! I'm pretty slow... I get caught up in all of the details and just do a little at a time in between the rest of life! Every year I intend to be done early and here were are on December 11 and I'm still working to finish up... but I do have some spaces ready to start sharing with you, so enjoys today's tour of our Christmas Front Porch! Although I'm sure I'm too late in sharing to give you any inspiration for this year, I hope you'll pin some ideas from this post that you can use next year as you decorate. I have a question at the end of the post for you... would love your feedback!
Honestly, my porch is pretty similar to last year. I switched out some of the bows, make some minor tweaks to the wreath and styling but I just love this look! It was also a huge bonus to pull it out of the tub already mostly assembled and not have to start from square one with new ideas.
I learned this trick from my friend Terri Anne on IG- using satin table runner for big fluffy bows! I've bought packs of several different colors and they are great for garlands, the tree, and making big bows on packages. They are super economical as well, you can find them for around $1.50 each when you buy packs of 10 or 12.
I like to use pipe cleaners to wire a few ornaments together (sometimes it helps to hot glue the caps in place) and then use that pipe cleaner to attach the group to my wreath or garland. Super easy! This year I tucked a few scraps of extra ribbon in place around the wreath too, and I like the extra color and fluff it adds.
These jars were a great find at Tuesday Morning a few years ago before it went out of business. 🙁 I didn't pop in there often but when I did I always found good things- sure do miss having it as a local option to shop!
This shot gives you a little peek of something fun I did in the Entry- I'll show that to you in the next part of the tour.

I picked these cute candy canes up at Walmart back in October and immediately thought they would be cute on the gate. Now that I've actually gotten around to putting them up I wish I had bought more for several other places around the outside. They are sold out online but I might see if my store still has a few more!
My husband has wanted a nativity set for our yard for several years so I've been on the lookout. Last year before Christmas I found a vintage blow mold set on FBMP. He made a stable structure backdrop out of old fence boards and I used one of my Moravian stars. He got it set up before I did the porch, our darling little 6ish year old neighbor boy came over and helped set all of the people and animals out. 💙 We love it so much!
Last Sunday I dressed for church, like I decorate- ha! Loving pink and green for Christmas in my decor AND my outfits! Most of this is too old to link, just sharing for a little outfit color+pattern mixing inspiration. The ruffle neck gingham top is from Elizabeth Wilson Designs and not currently available, but any green pattterened top would be cute. I found some similar outfit pieces here if you're interested. My tote is my fave to carry on Sundays and for a work bag- it's large and fits all the things! This exact one is past season but there are similar sale styles in that link I shared as well.
Never miss a post!

I ordered the last gift yesterday, but your gift guides have given me some great ideas in the past. Your porch looks great as always.
ReplyDeleteI'm mostly finished but always love some inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI finished up shopping yesterday, so spend your gift guide time with your family! Your porch looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteThough your past gift guides have been very helpful, Jennifer, I’m finished shopping for this Christmas. Thanks for sharing your festive home. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove your style!
ReplyDeleteYou are the best Jennifer! I’ve been waiting for your Christmas decor and it’s like Christmas opening your email today. My house looks like yours, don’t be surprised by Deja vu if you ever make it to San Diego. I’m not stalking I swear 😚
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
I’ve finished all my shopping.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that I copied your disco ball idea! Ha!
Love your porch! Looks magical! I get so many cute ideas from you. Thank you 🙏
I saw candy canes at Dollar Tree
ReplyDeletebut not sure what the quality, size or color will match yours.
Love the color and would really love some gift ideas. Christmas snuck up on me this year.
DeleteYour entry is so colorful -- looks great!! I am all done with my Christmas shopping but I made (crocheted) most of my gifts -- my biggest project was an afghan for my 6" 4" grandson!! Anything not crocheted was bought online. I'll be putting out my Christmas decor this weekend -- always do it on the Sunday closest to my daughter's birthday, which is the 12th -- she'll be 65!! I have a condo with a small patio and a breezeway shared with a neighbor so I do just enough to be festive -- takes me about an hour and I'm done!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I just love your use of color and objects! I love that you were able to make use of last year’s decor - I do that too but you do it so well! I’m almost done shopping but never done decorating :) can’t wait for the inside!
ReplyDeleteI love your colir combinations! The nativity scene is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI always love your gift guides and usually end up purchasing some of your suggestions! So I would be thrilled if you posted some ideas. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all of the colorful decor! You never disappoint. The manger is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, everything! Your front door is amazing and I love the manger. Well done.
ReplyDeleteFinishing....always love more inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to ALL of your decorating posts!! The nativity scene is priceless and what teamwork you and hubby did. =) Like a child waiting for Santa's arrival, I am eagerly waiting for the inside tour! =) Merry Christmas to you/family!!
ReplyDeleteI am almost finished with Christmas shopping. Love your outdoor decorations as always! Can’t wait to see what you’ve done on the inside this year. I ordered the glass trees from Walmart that you shared earlier. So fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the nativity and the fact that a child helped place all in the perfect positions.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see your gift guide. Also love your stocking stuffer ideas! I usually do stocking stuffers last minute so a stocking stuffer post would be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteHello Jennifer! Thank you for sharing these bits of your life with us strangers. I have such fun seeing your style, ideas, and creativity. Happy to have found a fellow color loving girl like me. So many seem to like neutrals, and that's perfectly ok, but it's not my tendency. I love color! I'm so late this year with decorating and everything as health stuff, appointments, and homeschooling take so much time. Anything you want to share, I'm game! Hope you all have an enjoyable holiday season. Sending you a sister hug in the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI could definitely use help with a gift guide, I’ve loved your ideas from previous years!!
