I got these large black and white ginger jars at Tuesday Morning- probably my last purchase there before they went out of business. 😢 Pumpkin wreath is from TJ Maxx (similar here), rug is old Target,... I think everything I used is past season and I can't source. I have a few real pumpkins around the front door that my sister grew at her place though, love them!
I bought these lanterns years ago from At Home and painted them. If you've been here a while you've seen them often (this tree was my favorite spot for them!) but they were pretty beat up and I recently repainted them... still hot pink but a slightly better/glossier color. This is my current favorite hot pink spray paint for reference, it's cheaper at Lowe's or Ace Hardware.
Here are the "new" stacked pumpkins in place- with a bow added of course! Here's a little tip- I used a few strips of black electrical tape to make the stripes on the LED candles in the lanterns. Quick, simple, and easily removable! It comes in lots of colors, too, if you want some colorful striped candles.
The stars of the show are always these cute guys- and they don't eat my real pumpkins! 😂 Old from At Home, but I've seen several squirrels this year (like this one) in stores with Fall decorations that would be good candidates with spray paint for a similar look. These pumpkins are faux- I have a gingham painting tutorial here and I used those handy brushes again for the white polka dots.
The lions moved off the porch to make way for the squirrels. I tied a gingham ribbon on until after Halloween, but I found the cutest little accessories for them for Thanksgiving at Hobby Lobby that I'll add once we get past a few extreme stormy, rainy days here. I'll show you a pic then! I bought my set locally and they are very heavy concrete, but these are a little bigger and a great price right now if you want a similar look.
Lastly, with the early dark evenings of Fall I love to add a sting of globe lights on the porch. I have small cup hooks across the top of the beam framing the porch, then I just use a staple gun to secure the string down the side posts in a few spots. It adds such a warm glow and extra soft lighting to the front of the house. It's November and my ferns are still going strong... we'll see how long they last!
Have you moved on to Christmas yet? I'll start inside the house mid-November but won't decorate the porch until after Thanksgiving. Here are my Fall porches from the past few years too-

DeleteLove your decor.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your holiday decor! But this senior adult would rather not see pink at Thanksgiving. I'm very much a traditional Fall decor person. I do love your pink at Christmas and Spring. Have a great holiday season!

ReplyDeleteAlways love your designs and willingness to go bold with what you love! Did you post a tutorial for the leopard pumpkin a couple of years ago? I love this idea!
