JEWEL TONES THANKSGIVING TABLE 2024

It's so hard to believe that we're less than a week away from Thanksgiving!  Earlier this week I set a Thanksgiving Table and am excited to share it with you today.  I used some warmer tones for Fall but there are still plenty of pops of color.

I had planned to get some flowers to use as part of the centerpiece, but the magnolia leaves from my friend's tree that I shared with you recently were still looking so good I decided to trim them shorter and just use them all down the center of the table.  

As I often like to do, rather than fully covering the table with a tablecloth, I folded the edges of a strip of fabric under and used that for a base.  Then I layered a strip of paper with a cane printed pattern on top.  It was sold as a "paper table runner" several years ago at Hobby Lobby, I'm not sure if they still carry it or not.  However, it's essentially wrapping paper so you could use any color or pattern you like and just trim the width.  That's another trick I use often for an inexpensive variety of options to add color and pattern, and it makes for easy clean up! 

As usual, I gathered a mix of things that I've collected here and there over the years.  The Imperial Leaf floral plates came with a set that was a great FB Marketplace find several years ago, I love the rich colors for Fall, the pink rim plates were a FBMP find as well.  The Celadon ceramic leaf plates are a special set that Ray's parents gave me.  They brought them back for me when they lived in Thailand for several years where these were made, I love the beautiful color and unique shape. 

I picked up tthe tall blue and green tapers at Anthropologie on clearance a year or so ago, they were really my starting point for the color palette of this year's table.  

I shared my new tortoise shell glasses in my Mini Fall tour too, I love them so much mixed in with this table!  (Shipping online might be sold out-hoping they restock!, but don't forget that you can shop online and check stores across your area for store pickup.  I've even checked stores that aren't local in the past where friends and family live and had them pick up things for me.)  I've had the Pilgrim and Indian figurines forever.  I probably got them at Hobby Lobby and I'm sure they used to be traditional colors but I spray painted them gold.  

I dug the pink pumpkins out of my Fall stash and they were the perfect little pop of color to finish things off.  

We will be with Ray's parents at their house for Thanksgiving this year, but this setup won't go to waste!  We'll have a family dinner in a few days and with a few small changes it will turn in to a Fall party table instead as we celebrate his birthday.  🤣  And as soon as that's over Christmas will hit the Dining Room!
