FIVE FRIDAY FAVORITES AND HOLIDAY WEEKEND SALES

Happy Friday, friends!  I hope you all have a nice and meaningful Memorial Day weekend as we remember those who lost their lives fighting to protect the freedoms we all enjoy.  I saw this post that a friend shared and it has really stayed on my mind... challenge accepted!  I have some good favorites to share with you today and lots of holiday weekend sales linked at the end of the post.  

I ordered this Boden dress a few weeks ago and wore it for Mother's Day.  Not sure if there's ever been a dress with more perfect colors for me 😄 and the quality is superb.  And, now is definitely the time to shop with 25% off site wide this weekend!

My parents have had a bubble machine for years and it's so fun to have running in their back yard for special events, holidays, and family gatherings.  Emily gave me my own for Christmas and I love having it out on the patio! It comes in several colors and the awesome thing is you can either plug it in or run it on batteries so you can use it anywhere!  One tip... it has two speeds but even on the lowest it produces A LOT of bubbles- perfect if you want one for your kids but if you just want it for ambience it's a bit much.  I learned a trick from my Dad and carefully snipped the rings off half of the wands.  It still blows plenty but cuts down on the volume a bit and will keep the solution from running out as quickly.

My son and daughter-in-law gave me this hat for Mother's Day after I asked for a new one.  Love it and our whole family has several of this brand that we all really like.  And if you have not seen this movie I can't recommend it enough... GO!!!

I posted a quick IG story yesterday and had questions about my lipstick.  I wear this kind almost every day that won't rub off and stays on all day, but sometimes I don't want it on all day 😆 and I've been using this for a while in those cases.  I have 3 colors and I almost always mix two.  I wear either the pink or red on the bottom, blot, then usually layer some of the neutral on top to tone them down a bit.  It's still long wearing but you can rub it off if needed.  In this screenshot pic I was wearing the pink and neutral. Sometimes I add some lip balm if my lips feel dry because it is very matte.  (Pardon my dusty hat!)

I was out at my sister's farm a while back and she was using a tool like this to weed her beds while we were talking.   WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE???  I fight bermuda grass and a few other unknown weeds terribly creeping into my beds in the back yard and this thing is a gem to pull them out.  You kind of slice it sideways down in the dirt and pull it towards you and it cuts everything out by the roots.  Genius.
