2023 CHRISTMAS HOME TOUR || CHRISTMAS TREE AND LIVING ROOM

Hello friends, welcome to Part 3 of this year's Christmas home tour- my Christmas Tree and Living Room! (Click here for Part 1 and Part 2 if you missed them.)  I continued to concentrate on red, pink and green accents where I could, but I can't help but have lots of other colors in the mix as well.  I know I'm coming in under the wire sharing these tours with you so late this year but I've had personal commitments that have put this on the back burner.  So, I hope you'll enjoy just soaking it in this year even though it's too late to give you any ideas for your decorations this year, but considering pinning and saving what you might want to remember for next year!

I'm not going to comment much, there are a lot of photos so just enjoy scrolling!

I brought the green mirror back in that I haven't used in the past few years-  It actually paired with an old dresser that we bought years ago at a yard sale but after painting it green I've always liked using it on the mantel.

Fluffy satin table runner bows mixed in with my regular satin and gingham ribbon anchor the flocked garland, adorned with ornament clusters and small bead garlands I've collected over the past few years.

You might remember the vintage choir boys from last year's tour.  A friend who made them passed them along to me knowing that I would like them and gave me her blessing to repaint them.  Also... added a mirrored ball to the center of the garland!

Here's the tree!  I bought a new tree (currently already 1/2 price!) this year and we are really enjoying it.  The branches/needles are much shorter than my previous tree so it's so much easier to hang things on them.  I hung some of my paper stars along the curtain rod to frame the tree- a little hard to see but you get the idea! (Some pics are a little off on colors- it was SO cloudy and gloomy for days when I was ready for photograph, I had to do the best I could with lighting.  Planning to reshoot a few if we get some sun but I didn't want to wait any longer to show you photos!)

I try to have one larger "accent" ornament or decoration on my tree every year.  This year I bought some larger mirror balls at Hobby Lobby (I've also heard Five Below might have some, or find them here).  They don't photograph well, especially on the flocked tree (the colorful bows tied on help a little with that), but I love the sparkle they add in real life- and when the sun hits the ones I hung in the back or sides we have quite a light show in the living room!

I also really love the felt poinsettias that I added this year.  They have such a vintage feel, especially mixed with my Shiny Brites and vintage style ornaments.  More satin table runners used here for gorgeous gift bows- they are an incredible bang for your buck bought in bulk, coming in around $2 each.  Can't beat that compared to ribbon prices!

Sweet little kissing angels- from the same friend that gave me the choir boys.  ๐Ÿ’™  I used a milk glass cake plate and dome I had that fits it to make them extra special!  Pink poinsettias are my fave- last year I veered off and got white but missed the pink so much!  Always pink from now on!  Here's a tip I shared on Instagram with using them in larger bowls or planters (tap the right arrow until you get to the video about the poinsettias, you have to scroll through a few other tips first).

Mixed a few lanterns with yummy smelling candles, bows and ornament embellishments on the coffee table.

My first group of vintage ornaments from a yard sale years ago...

My fave artwork that my daughter did ca. kindergarten... she told me the other day if she had known I would always feature it so prominently she would have worked a little harder on it... ha!  Of course I think it's perfectly charming exactly how it is!  It's in a simple frame, but for the larger frame I wrapped a piece of wrapping paper around the backer board and then used little little drops of hot glue in the corners of the elf frame to secure it to the larger frame.  Comes right off after Christmas.

Apothecary collection as usual on the console table- just don't eat the ribbon candy or gumdrops if you come visit.  I save them in ziplocs every year to display at Christmas so you might break a tooth if you try one.... ha!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Thanks for visiting today!  I'm trying to get out the door to wrap up a bit of last minute shopping with my girl, I'll add sources later on today.  If there's something specific you'd like to know about, ask in the comments and I'll add it to the post when I'm editing so be sure to stop back by.

I hope you all have the best weekend as we approach Christmas Day!
