CHRISTMAS BELL ORNAMENT MAKEOVER

I'm busy decking the halls around here and wanted to share a quick and easy little makeover with you that I just did as I'm decorating.  You might remember a few weeks ago when I shared some of my favorite Christmas decorations with you.  This little less than $2 Christmas bell ornament was on the list, and while it's not really my style as is I had a plan to make it cute!  

To get started, I needed to take all of the embellishments off of the bell.  I removed the rope hanger since I planned to use something else and clipped the wire holding on the greenery.  It was also hot glued on a bit but that peeled right off. 

You might guess where this makeover is headed...  I used floral wire to attach the bells to an old hanger, hooked that on a branch, now those bells are all prepped for paint! 

I considered several color options but ended up using my old faithful favorite metallic gold spray paint  and was able to spray the entire bell all at once since they were suspended.  I also did a quick spray on the inside just in case the bells are hanging where it would be visible.  

Lastly, I wanted to brighten up the berries too. To make things especially quick and easy, I grabbed my favorite pink nail polish and painted a coat over the red berries.  When everything was dry, I used some thin gold cord to tie a new hanging loop and wired the greenery back onto the top of the bell.  

All done!  This was such an easy makeover and probably took around 10 minutes of work time.  I have 2 more sets of these bells and can't wait to show you where the others are going once I get them in place!
