Happy Friday everyone! This week is gone and I didn't get any regular posts up, but I've had some good things for my Five Friday Favorites that I've been anxious to share with you! I don't understand how I'm so much busier now that my kids are away at school, can't seem to get everything done. I'm supposed to be bored have nothing to do with them gone, right?? Ha! I guess we have been coming and going to 2 schools often though and this is always a busy season regardless so... we're headed to OSU for Homecoming activities tonight with Emily, excited to be there! 1) Perfect Collar Classic Button Up Shirt- I've been on the search for a while for the perfect white shirt. I was even willing to invest in one if I could find a quality one that fit well with great fabric and a stiff collar that would stay popped when I wanted it to. I've had no luck, until this one. AND, IT'S $14.98!!!
I'm showing you the blue and white striped one because that's what I happened to be wearing, but it also comes in white and black and you can bet I bought all 3 colors at that price. The fabric has a slight stretch so holds its shape well and I haven't washed mine yet but I'm anticipating it will be easy care with only light ironing if any needed. The collar is fabulous and stayed popped all day when I wore it with this jacket. I believe it is true to size for a classic fit, but I have long arms and always battle arm length so I sized up for a bit of extra length there. It's perfect!
Another great feature is that there is a hidden snap between the 3rd and 4th buttons. How smart if you have trouble with gapping across the chest! But, I often find with button ups that leaving 2 buttons undone is not enough but 3 is too much, so this snap makes the neck opening perfect for me!
(It was so dark, rainy and dreary this day so I had to really lighten my photo- sorry it's grainy but you get the idea!)
These are like a relaxed jogger style, with a straight leg and cropped ankle fit. The length is perfect for flats, wedges, heels, or booties and the style will be easy to dress up or down. I also think an oversized sweater with a front tuck and booties would be so cute with these... is it too early to be planning my Thanksgiving outfit? These are super comfortable and forgiving and would certainly fit the bill!
I also bought this style in black and really like the more tailored waist style too. The waistband has a bit of give to it though so while more structured they are still really comfortable. It comes in a copper color as well, just ordered those last night. Not too sure about the color on that one, it is either going to be really good or really bad but wanted to see them in real life. ;)
More of my favorite scarves- I have most of these and they are all under $5, many around $3!
3) Clear Monogrammed Crossbody- Both schools where we are attending football games this year have clear bag stadium policies, and I didn't have one. A friend had given Emily one just like this as a very thoughtful Graduation gift, and I loved it so much I ordered the same one when I realized i needed one too. The price is reasonable and includes free personalization choices, so much cuter with the monogram than the plain ones I've seen! It's a crossbody style and came with a gold chain strap,
but I also switched that out to one of my striped bag straps for a more casual look. Emily received several monogrammed products from this company for grad gifts, and I'm so impressed with the style and quality of all of it!
They have more cute clear bags, some that I didn't see when I ordered mine... kinda wish I had seen this fun colorful one! Don't miss their full line of bags and totes as well, all waiting for your personal monogram and, they have the cutest beanies!
Here are some of my favorite bag straps too, many other colors available in each listing-
4) Monogrammed Bracelets- While I was on that site, I got sucked in to their super cute monogrammed jewelry too! I've been wearing several pieces frequently and am really happy with the quality. Here I'm wearing the Monogrammed Chain Link Bracelet and the Monogrammed Leopard Bar Bracelet, it is all one piece with a magnetic closure in the back so super easy for a stacked bracelet look!
I also stocked up on a few extra bracelets for birthday gifts (did a bit of sleuthing to find middle initials that I needed for recipients) and some cute monogrammed earrings for Christmas gifts!
5) Kerasal Intensive Foot Repair- Last time in FFF I shared my awesome foot peel treatment with you, and now that that process is all finished up I'm trying to be diligent about keeping my feet moisturized. I'm using this cream at least every few days and my feet are staying soft and moisturized and happy!
And a bonus heads up... extra 50% off sale styles at J. Crew today! Here are a few of my faves, but view the entire sale selection here.
That's it for this time, hope you all enjoy your weekend!
Just ordered the leopard print beanie!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute!
DeleteGirl thanks for turning me on to another great online jewelry retailer! You know I love my bling like you, especially bracelets & all things monogrammed. I've purchased from Victoria Emerson several times after learning about them from you (so thanks lol)... Have you ever shopped with Ettika or LuvAJ? They are 2 great retailers who have affordable gold plated jewelry.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you like them Jennifer! I'm not familiar with those two, I'll check them out!
DeleteHello! I love seeing your recommendations. I've tried Kerasal but I like "Flexitol Heel Balm" even better. It's so good (and not greasy). I love your blog and your colorful home!
