Although they might be a bit more challenging to find this year, we still have plenty of reasons to be grateful this Thanksgiving! I would guess that most of us are ready this year more than ever for the holiday season, and although circumstances might look different this year, I for one still plan to make things as special as possible!

This season I think I'm subconsciously craving coziness, predictability, warmth, and comfort. Plaid wraps all of those feelings up in a pattern for me, so I used that as the starting point on my table for this year.
I pulled the green pumpkins from my mantel and entry table to use for the centerpiece and scattered some mini white pumpkins beside them as well. It needed a little something more, so I tucked in some magnolia and laurel leaves. We had a super early, damaging ice storm a few weeks ago and after the clean up I pulled a magnolia branch off of my neighbor's curb. I knew I would use the leaves somewhere, sometime this season, so that came in handy! And I can never resist mixing plaid with leopard, so I added a few more leopard taper candles to my stash and used those in the centerpiece as well.

I made simple place cards with cardstock and some ribbon and feathers I found at Hobby Lobby, then hot glued an acorn on top. A mini pine cone would be cute, too!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? We will be able to gather with my husband's family this year at his parents' home. He's reaching a BIG birthday this month, so this table will likely be the birthday table for a family dinner to celebrate that day soon since we won't be hosting Thanksgiving here. I can add in a few balloons and streamers, right??? ;)
Just for fun, here's a little video of my table setting process!
