With Valentine's Day less than a week away, I figured I'd better get on the ball and get some gift planning (and buying!) done. Honestly, Valentine's Day seems to sneak up so quickly after Christmas that it's always a little bit hard to shop for. So, today I'm sharing five of our favorite things if you're fresh out of ideas... a few for her and a few for him!
Perfume scents are always such a personal choice, but these 3 have been my favorites for several years now. Amazing Grace is the lightest with just a hint of scent, Ed Hardy Love Kills Slowly is my every day pick, and Alien is a bolder date night/special occasion choice that I rotate. (What's your favorite? I'd love to hear in the comments!)
I gave this watch to Ray for his birthday, he loves the simplicity and vintage vibe. Nice quality!
I recently saw the Kendra Scott Custom Charm Collection and a few pieces are now on my wish list! You totally build your own unique piece by choosing your base and then adding the charms you want. I really like this charm bracelet in a gold tone with just one charm added on the end near the clasp. I'd choose either the tassel or the locket charm, but there are tons to choose from to tell your own special story or interests!
Ray mentioned wanting a new leather bag for work a full year ago at Christmas, and I kept and eye out but never came across a nice one that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Finally, before this past Christmas, I found a winner. I was a little hesitant to order online without seeing it in person and feeling the leather, but with 1100+ 5 star reviews and an attractive price tag, I ordered this leather messenger bag for Christmas. He loves it! It has 3 large compartments (1 padded for a computer or tablet) and several additional smaller storage pockets. It's nice to have the option of carrying with the handle on top or using the removable shoulder strap. The leather is really nice quality and will continue to soften up over time, this bag gets 2 big thumbs up from us!
My Mom totally surprised me and gave me the coziest faux fur throw blanket for Christmas. I've never felt anything so soft, you seriously can't keep from "petting" it... ha! (Several other styles also available, lower price option here)
Here are a few more gift ideas that might catch your eye!
Happy Friday, friends. I'm wrapping up some Valentine's Day decorations today and plan to post those tomorrow in case you're decorating for the holiday this weekend too!
I adore that throw, and found it much cheaper so am ordering it now:) It looks wonderful on your chair!
ReplyDeleteOh fantastic! Where did you find a better price, I'd love to share! You will love it!
DeleteForgot to mention: I have been wearing Vanderbilt for ever and always get compliments. I can now get it Walmart for $19.99!!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal!
DeleteI am so glad someone else loves Alien perfume. The first time I bought it the saleslady told me that people would stop me and ask me what fragrance I was wearing and she was absolutely right. It's my favorite go to.
ReplyDeleteSo true... that's how I found out about it! Stopped a girl that smelled amazing and asked what she was wearing... ;)
DeleteSince my first job at Rich's in Atlanta, Estee Lauder's Youth Dew has been my favorite, particularly the body crème which is not as heavy as the perfume or cologne. I try samples of everything else, but always come back to it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a classic for sure! :)
DeleteHappy to see you today as I have been missing your pretty face and cute shopping ideas. Thanks for a great Friday blog. Ordering Hamilton fabric asap.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's nice to be missed! You'll love the fabric.Do you plan to make pillows or something else?
