Hello friends! I'm sure everyone is busy Christmas-ing this week, but I wanted to pop in and share one of our all time favorite party food/appetizer recipes with you, Cream Cheese Sausage Dip. It could not be easier, and I promise your guests will literally eat it up!
Here's all you'll need:
1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked, crumbled, and drained
3 8 oz. packages cream cheese
1 can Rotel tomatoes and green chiles
water if desired
Simply mix all ingredients in a crockpot or double boiler and heat until the cheese is melted, stirring occasionally. A bit of water can be added after cheese is melted to thin it a little if you think it's too thick. Just add water, stir, and eye it until it's the consistency you want.
Serve with tortilla chips and watch it disappear! It's a nice little switch up from the usual Velveeta and Rotel cheese dip.
We hosted all of the ministers at our church for a party on Sunday night, and I was repeatedly asked for the recipe- everyone loved it. As a reference, I tripled the recipe and it filled my 4 quart crockpot. We served around 30 people and just had a little bit left over. We'll have a large family party on Christmas Eve where I plan to serve this as well. It's a great go-to recipe to have on hand!
Here's a few of my other favorite party recipes if you're feeding a crowd this week (we apparently go through just a bit of cream cheese around here!)-
Have a very Merry Christmas! I have enjoyed your blog 2016 and look forward to 2017 for more colourful pictures. God Bless you and your family.
