Boy, are we on the down hill slide to the end of the year, or what? How does time keep moving faster and faster? In case any posts rolled by in a blur, here's the highlight reel of the past couple of months.
We are having so much fun with the My Five Favorites series each month. Recently, I shared my favorite ways to use mixed metals
and my favorite DIY artwork projects.
Have you seen the newer designs of pillows covers at Hobby Lobby? I sat in the aisle and took lots of pictures to share, there's some great ones for Fall!
I showed you how to recover an upholstered bench or chair seat (it's so easy!)
and used a fun stencil design to create this DIY monogrammed door mat.
At a reader's suggestion, I've started regularly posting on Saturdays. This series is called Sweet Saturday (because aren't they???) and I share things from around the web that I think you'll enjoy, as well as occasional project flashbacks, updates and sneak peeks. (See all Saturday posts here)
My favorite new Kate Spade fabrics
After a makeover almost 5 years ago, our laundry room desperately needed some organization
and I showed you how I tackled one of my toughest decorating problems and disguised the litter box.
We did some traveling towards the end of summer and I shared our family trip to Red River and a trip I took to the Haven Conference in Atlanta.
Speaking of being away, a few of my friends from Southern Hospitality and Casa Watkins Living filled in for me when we were gone and shared their Favorite Five projects with you. Be sure to stop by and get to know them if you haven't!
In August we celebrated 5 years of Dimples and Tangles! You all have been and continue to be the most encouraging and supportive readers around!
With our new patio, I was so excited to set up this Fall harvest table (and reminded that I can't forget and leave food out overnight!)
After a long dry spell, I came across this bamboo console table craigslist score.
Finally, it's actually feeling like Fall in our area. If you're just now getting around to decorating for the seasons, I shared some simple ideas in my Fall Home Tours. Part 1 covers our living areas and kitchen,
and Part 2 covers some of those areas switched up a bit (with the bamboo table makeover) as well as our patio decked out for Fall.
As always, thanks for following along, these last three months of the year will be fun as we ramp up for the holidays!
