DWELLINGS BY DEVORE {MY FAVORITE 5}

We have returned home after two full days of traveling, and we're all happy about that!  This was one of those trips where we need a vacation after our vacation.  :)

While we're still catching up and returning to normal life, I have two more friends to share with you.  Today, I'm so excited for you to meet Bethany from Dwellings by Devore.  Bethany's blog was one of the first home blogs I started reading, and I always look forward to new posts from her.  She has the cutest little girl that I just want to hug and remember when mine were that little, and I'm pretty sure we're kindred spirits and enjoy many of the same things.  I can't wait to get to know her even better when we get to be roomies at Haven next month, too!  So, here are Bethany's favorite projects.  Enjoy!

Hi Dimples and Tangles Readers!  I'm Bethany and I blog over at Dwellings by DeVore.  I'm so excited to be here on Jennifer's blog today.  She is one of the nicest bloggers out there and has such a great eye!

Here are my top 5 favorite projects.  I hope you enjoy them!

Like Jennifer, I have a fondness for green.  I get it from my mom who has loved green for as long as I can remember.  So when it came time to decorate her room we went with the obvious choice, green! You can find the full post here.

My daughter's play kitchen makeover is probably one of my favorite projects ever.  I had so much fun working on it and customizing it just for her.  Renovating our kitchen isn't in the budget right now, so I had fun living vicariously through this little play kitchen and creating my dream kitchen on a smaller scale. :)

In another life I would love to be a party planner.  I get so excited when it's time to plan my daughter's birthday party and I had so much fun planning this little Minnie Mouse Party for her this year.    I think I was more excited about it than she was!

Last year we started a tradition of making salt dough ornaments.  We had a great time making them and I hope we can continue it for years to come.  I can't resist adding gold glitter and black and white stripes whenever I get the chance!

This light fixture was so much fun to make.  For some reason I've always had a thing for making light fixtures and lamps.  I don't know what it is that draws me to them, but I love creating them!

Hope you enjoyed these projects!  Thanks again for having me Jennifer!

I'm so glad you were here today, Bethany!  Can you believe that darling Minnie party?  You must click over and see all of the photos...what a fun party! You'll will have some great weekend reading with Bethany's blog.  A few of my favorites are her Ikea curtains with greek key trim (I'm planning to copy these soon!), and this chair makeover that's shown in the same post as her curtains.  After you've spent just a few minutes reading, I know you'll love Bethany's work as much as I do!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!  We're catching up from our trip and celebrating Father's Day tonight, and preparing for a busy week of VBS next week.  See you on Monday for my last guest post in this round!

**You can check out all of the posts in this series with each of these links.  Happy Reading!

  2. Jennifer I'm new to your blog but I love your style of decorating! I do have a question about your blue drapes in the den, the Tucker Resist by Sun n Shade. I found the Sun n Shade ones for $10.00 a yard but my concern is that they are too stiff to be used on 2 club chairs in our den. What do you think of the sun protected fabric for upholstery?...because I really LIKE the price and the color!!! Thanks :))

    1. Hi Terry! Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying the blog! My curtains are actually black, but that pattern does come in blue also. I think the fabric would totally be a matter of preference. I would actually love it with kids, it is more durable and I wouldn't worry as much about scrubbing on a stain if needed. You might want to stop by a fabric store and just feel some outdoor fabric so you'll have an idea of the weight, but I probably wouldn't hesitate to use it on furniture!
