Today is officially the last day of our holiday break, the kids go back to school on Monday (smiles!). If you'll indulge me, this post is
more for me and our memories than anyone else...no great projects to share today. We had such a fun
holiday season, I wanted to compile the highlights of our pics all in
one place.
Going back to Thanksgiving weekend, we met our friends to watch the OU/OSU Bedlam game, but headed out to the country for a little target practice first. We've got some good little sharpshooters, my pumpkins were toast!
The weeks leading up to Christmas were packed with church activities and Caleb's first band concert.
We also celebrated several family members' birthdays, had parties at school, baked up a mountain of cinnamon rolls, and saw the beautiful Christmas lights around OKC.
No picture taking session is drama-free right now. "Mommmmm, WHY do you have to take so many pictures????"
Christmas #1 at Nonnie and Papa's house. Our nephew (oldest cousin) is serving in Afganistan right now and we were able to Skype with him for a while. Even half way around the world, he didn't escape the annual cousin picture session.
#2, Christmas Morning at our house-it came early! We're so thankful for our precious kids!
Christmas #3 at Bree and Grandad's house. We got a dusting of snow throughout the day, and the kids were so excited they wanted to go out and play even before opening presents!
The day after-everyone was happy to stay in pjs and have no where to go.
Happy New Year! We joined up with our good friends again to celebrate. Confetti was everywhere and we enjoyed toasting to a great new year with "bubble pop", celebrating an hour early with the NYC ball drop countdown. There were lots of heads about ready to nod off by then around here, so no one complained that we rang in the new year a bit early.
We were late to jump aboard and watched seasons 1 and 2 last spring, but here's where I'll be Sunday night...

How about you?
Back to all things house and home next week!
Back to all things house and home next week!
Looks like you packed in a ton of fun memories! How perfect you got a little snow for the festivities! I think I'm the only one who hasn't got on board for Downtown Abbey! :)
ReplyDeleteEager to view season 3 of Downtown Abbey and hopefully a marriage ceremony. Another series that is making a hit is Call the Midwife on PBS. Its second season begins in March. I also love Bunheads at ABC Family on Monday evenings. It's in its 3rd season with two fabulous actresses whose hilarious deliveries are spot-on.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great holiday! And those baked goods...YUM!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! You sure do enjoy your holidays. BTW, i love your daughters curls. I think I may have to start watching that show, everyone seems to love it. Hope you have a great weekend, enjoy those kiddos for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had lots of fun and made some great memories! Blessings on you all this year!
ReplyDeleteLove all the photos! I'm glad you and your family had such a wonderful holiday season. I know I sound like a "mom" but don't forget to print photos ~ beautiful treasured memories for the kids in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Downton Abbey is continuing! Love that show.
Happy New Year!

Jennifer, that sounds like a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Despite the fact that your kids protest, it's so great that you take tons of pictures. They will appreciate them all when they grow up! My kids are tortured by their mother also. Wishing you and your family another happy year ahead!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I can't wait to explore yours! Your Christmas looks so fun. I know you'll enjoy season 3 of Downton Abbey. We finished it here in the UK with a Christmas special. It's the best season yet.
