It's been a crazy weekend in Oklahoma. Earthquakes. 2 that I felt, not counting the numerous aftershocks. The strongest one occurred as we were in bed watching the news. We just froze and waited for ever it seemed like for it to be over. It was a 5.6, record setting for our area. Even the smaller one in the middle of the night before was a 4.7. It woke me up but I was still half asleep so I didn't know what it was. We're tornado people, not earthquake people. Such a strange experience to hear the rumble coming and then feel the shaking. Creepy. There were some homes damaged near the epicenter but thankfully no one was seriously hurt.
I love my husband. He runs early in the morning a couple of times a week. Today he rushed in the house after his run and just said "Gotta go get chairs, it's big trash day." While on his loop he had spotted some chairs that he knew I would like, and as he was finishing up he noticed the "junk trailer" that cruises the neighborhood on big trash days. I didn't even know what he was talking about as he rushed out the door with the truck to go retreive them before someone else picked them up. Here's what he came back with:
I'm a sucker for caned chairs. Not sure what will happen with these yet but I see lots of potential. They are pretty sturdy and there are no holes in the caning, so for FREE they will be fun to play with!
It's likely that 2 out of the 4 members of my family are about to be in orthodontics. Ouch. In more ways than one.
We did not have a garage sale this past weekend but it's officially on for this weekend. I even cleaned out the attic on Saturday. This will be a busy week of more purging, sorting, and pricing.
Happy Monday Everyone!
Lucky duck!!! I love those chairs! I can't wait to see what you do with them!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I heard about the earthquakes, I'll take our blizzards!
ReplyDeleteWay to go hubby, those chairs are amazing, can't wait to see what you have planned for them! Do you have a spot in mind?
