BLOGGER STYLIN' HOME TOURS THANKSGIVING TABLE 2016

It's time for another round of Blogger Stylin' Home Tours, and I'm so happy to be helping kick off the Thanksgiving Table tours today! Fall is my favorite time of year, and it's always a joy to prepare for the season.  As always, many thanks to Lindsay at The White Buffalo Styling Co.  for putting this tour together.  If you're coming from her blog, welcome, and I'm so glad you're here!  I always love seeing what gorgeous eye candy Lindsay has for us, and she definitely didn't disappoint this time with that stunning candlelight table!

We have had such a mild Fall (still more like summer) that I jumped at the chance to set up my outdoor table.  We finished a patio makeover in the Spring, and are truly enjoying the outdoor living space that it provides.

As usual, for the most part I used things I already had and mixed and matched my sets to set this table.  I used a few bundles of fresh flowers added to some extra clippings from around the yard to assemble the centerpiece in one of my favorite green Bordallo serving bowls.  I've collected these green pieces for years, Rhoda and I were recently discussing our love for this set!  I used a few more standing wheat bundles like I have on my mantel on the center of the table, also.

There's usually a tv mounted over the mantel, but we removed it (it's on a bracket that makes it easy to slip it off and on) and I filled the space with the board I made to bulk up an abstract painting that I've had in the house.  I layered our custom wooden monogram on top.

I also pulled some of our indoor furnishings outdoors (the cowhide rug and chairs from our bedroom- just for the photoshoot!) to make the space more cozy.  A painter's dropcloth covers the table, they're nice to have on hand if you need an inexpensive, large, casual tablecloth (just be prepared for some wrinkles-they won't come out completely).

I have a great story to tell you about how good God is when I share more about how to make this arrangement with you later this week.  :)

I visited the most darling shop while out of town recently, and I can't wait to share a tour with you all later this week.  While there,  I picked up these darling scalloped mini metal chalkboard stands for my placecards.

And, if you remember my Spring table you might have caught a glimpse of some vintage lamb salt cellars that I found at an estate sale in my neighborhood.  There were 6 foxes as part of the set too, so how perfect are those handsome little guys for Fall?

Are you ready for Thanksgiving yet?  I'll share this simple pecan pie recipe with you soon.  Truth be told, yesterday we ate our Sunday lunch of grilled hamburgers and home made french fries at this table before I cleared it off.  Even the simplest of meals taste better on a pretty table!
