Well, hello there! I'm so excited for you all to join me today.
I'm thrilled to be participating in the Blogger Stylin' Home Tours again. Whenever Lindsay from The White Buffalo Styling Company calls, I answer! Lindsay, thank you so much for all of your hard work organizing this tour. Many, many readers are reaping the benefits and finding loads of inspiration because of all of your hard work!
If you've just come over from Jen Rizzo, wasn't her tour a treat?
I just think her kitchen and home are one of the most charming ones around. So if you're new, Welcome!
I'm a little heavy on the photos today, but I hope you'll grab a warm drink, relax, enjoy the tour and find a few things to inspire you. I shared Part 1 of my Fall Tour a few days ago, and I'd love for you to check out a few other areas of my home.
Last year for the Modern and Fresh Fall Tour, I used a lot of my favorite green mixed in with my Fall Decor. The pop of color was fun, but this year I wanted things to be a bit more relaxed, calm, and cozy.
I shared my entry for the BSHT: Favorite Room Edition last month, and had fun switching up the accessories on the dresser for Fall.
I changed out the lamps and decided that my huge brass deer (Craigslist) needed to live here for the Fall.
Remember that coat I cut up to make my fur ottomans? I had one sleeve left, and it made a nice base for this vignette. The pom pom tie from the coat is also wrapped around the big guy's neck.
I chose mainly warm earth tones and metallics, along with my ever-present black and white as a base. I couldn't resist adding some color here and there, though, and also wanted to add in a few hints of plaid since it is so popular this fall.
I frequently get questions about my leopard pillows. I made them with fabric from Hobby Lobby. It's not on their website anymore, but it's still available in my local store, so it might be in yours, too.
OK, I've been dying to show you the mantle. I think it's one of my favorites ever!
Last week after Pam's post, I realized that somehow I've accumulated 5 busts. SO, I figured they all needed to hang out together!
I used Krylon's Pimento spray paint on all of them, and then gave them a light dusting of copper spray paint for some variation. The "artwork" is a poster that we bought at the State Fair a few years ago and it usually hangs in the Laundry Room. It's the Lord's Prayer, and is illustrated with the 10 Commandments around the edges. I love the vintage look and the colors, and it's probably what inspired my whole look for Fall this year.
I looked through my accessories and found something to dress everyone up. The patch (a la The Nester) is just fabric hot glued to a piece of elastic, and the fur collar is from that very same coat that I cut up...I got a lot of mileage out of that $12 thrift store find!
We moved the love seat to the Office and made a little sitting area in this corner with my new chairs. If you follow me on Instagram, remember all of those lovely sticks from my neighbor's trimmed tree? Here's where a few of them landed. I still have a plan for a lot more of them...stay tuned over the next few weeks.
A few more living room table tops... I kept them very simple with apothecaries full of acorns and pinecones and containers full of clippings from my flower bed.
I think this little guy is just fun, I like putting him out in the Fall.
I kept the Dining Room simple also, with some clipped sunflowers from a near-by field.
And did you think we'd get through this tour without a disco ball? If so, you don't know me at all. ;)
I wanted to use the candle holders but didn't feel like using candles, so these were the first thing that caught my eye.
Here's my kitchen table and a few more shots from the first half of my tour (see more here).
Lastly, I recently fluffed up our back patio so it would be ready for the cool evenings of the season (it's on Part 1 of my tour, also). We've enjoyed being out there every night since!
Now, please head over to Desert Domicile for the next tour!

ReplyDeleteHi there! It's called "Islander" and I don't remember who makes it. It's not available on fabric.com anymore where I bought it, but if you search "Islander Ikat Fabric" you might be able to find something.
